The Castle Project-Hasoub

4/2/2007
Castle Project's incredible 115,000-connection network spanning 1.4 million square feet of development space relies on Hasoub IT leadership to get the job done right, on time, and under budget.
JEDDAH, KSA—The Castle Project, facing the Holy Mosque in Makkah, is quite unlike any other building project before it. A colossal structure consisting of seven towers, one of which is the 4th largest building in the world, plus a 13-story main building, will be home to some 75,000 employees and residents in the mixed retail, hotel, and residential development project. The multi-million dollar mega-structure, officially known as the King Abdulaziz Endowment Project or KAEP, was quick to contact Hasoub to deliver the most technically advanced network in the Middle East.

As reported in the authoritative business journal Zawya.com, the Castle Project's management team didn't hesitate making their decision, saying, “Hasoub represents a distributor who can provide value-added service and a broad portfolio of collaborative IT solutions.” Management put its trust in Hasoub for a critical project, continued Zawya, which may well influence all others: “the project is the benchmark by which future regional development will be measured.” Since the Castle Project would need building management and communication services deployed on a single infrastructure, it was recognized early on that success would depend on the ability to manage the construction and implementation of a massive system. The project's developers turned to worldwide industry leader SYSTIMAX Solutions and its iPatch Real Time Infrastructure Management System for interactive, real time control over both copper and fiber connections. For SYSTIMX, Hasoub was the natural partner for end-to-end support through all parts of the distribution chain, from manufacturer R&D to distributor logistics and availability, reliability and, ultimately, sound integration. With Hasoub as Saudi solutions supplier of choice for SYSTIMAX, the partners are now well positioned to replicate the Castle Project’s success for structured connectivity solutions not only in the Kingdom but also throughout the Middle East and North Africa.
